MLB The Show 20 Summer Circuit Qualifier Details Revealed Including Cash Prizes

On Monday, MLB The Show 20 revealed the upcoming tournament they’ll have with the potential for in-game and cash prizes. The MLB The Show 20 Summer Circuit Qualifier will take place starting this weekend and gives gamers a chance not only at lots of Stubs but cash money. Here are the latest details for signing up and participating in the upcoming event.

For those with skills on the virtual baseball diamond, MLB The Show 20 Summer Circuit is the event for you. On Monday, June 15, MLB The Show tweeted out a promotional video with everyone’s favorite puppet, Coach, talking on the phone about the tournament. Highlights were on display from the game including shots of Fred McGriff, Ryne Stanek, and Jesús Luzardo. Along the way, prizes are mentioned as well including merch and cash.

The tweet itself makes reference to $25,000 in cash prizes as well as digital rewards and merchandise packages. Upon checking out the first Qualifier details, prizes include eight spots to qualify for the Grand Final, along with MLB The Show Stubs.

There will be five weeks of qualifiers, each consisting of a two-day Swiss style competition. That means no eliminations, but the players with the highest overall scores will get ranked and win prizes in that fashion.

Competition details and where to sign up

The first qualifier of MLB The Show 20 Summer Circuit begins this Saturday, June 20, and will begin at 8:45 p.m. Eastern Time. This is a Swiss format tournament meaning It’s a two-day event, so the top 128 players will move on from Day 1 to Day 2.

On Day 2, it appears half of the players will leave with prizes. The top prize for the first place competitor will be a whopping 1,050,000 MLB The Show Stubs and qualification for the Grand Finals. In fact, the top eight players get a spot in the Grand Final, while 64 players will many others will earn MLB The Show Stubs.

  • 1st place: 1,050,000 Stubs and Qualification for Grand Final
  • 2nd place: 600,000 Stubs and Qualification for Grand Final
  • 3-4 place: 150,000 Stubs and Qualification for Grand Final
  • 5-8 place: 67,500 Stubs and Qualification for Grand Final
  • 9-16: 24,000 MLB The Show Stubs
  • 17-32: 11,000 MLB The Show Stubs
  • 33-64: 5,000 MLB The Show Stubs
