This week, Call of Duty players will be getting to grips with all the new launch content which has arrived with Season 4. However, there’s still a lot of new content to come, and for Call of Duty: Warzone, the biggest addition will be that of three new game modes; Warzone Rumble, Realism, and the dramatically-named Juggernaut Royale.
New Call of Duty: Warzone Game Modes in Season 4
These three upcoming modes will each debut for a limited time during the course of Warzone Season 4. At present, it’s not known how long each mode will be playable for. Realism is perhaps the simplest of the three, and likely to be the most familiar to Modern Warfare players. (Although players who are new to Call of Duty through Warzone being free-to-play may not have experienced it before.) In Realism, all players have only minimal HUD elements and will deal much more headshot damage than normal. As such, Realism has the potential to be much more lethal than standard play.
Warzone Rumble does a bit more to really change the mode mechanics of Warzone’s standard battle royale. In this mode, the normal battle royale setup becomes a 50 vs. 50 Team Deathmatch; the biggest mode of this sort which Call of Duty has ever had. Most of the game’s mechanics will remain the same, but the addition of a binary team dynamic should completely change the feel of Warzone.
The final of the three new modes coming to Warzone this season is Juggernaut Royale. In this mode, three Juggernaut suits will be air-dropped into Verdansk in care packages. The location of these packages will be marked for all players, and whomever can get there first will get to claim it. Once you don the suit, not only will you have better health and a mini-gun, but you even get to listen to your own music track while you play! Juggernaut players will still be able to climb ladders and ride in vehicles, and also take no falling damage. In fact, if you fall, you’ll actually do a ground pound that damages nearby players. If you get sent to the Gulag while in Juggernaut armour, you’ll lose the suit. After a brief delay, a new Juggernaut care package will appear on the map.
