MLB The Show 20 5th Inning Program Revealed Including New Conquest Map, Diamond Bosses
On Thursday, the MLB The Show 20 5th Inning program officially arrived for fans to enjoy. As with other Inning installments in the game, it brought plenty of content to dive into. That includes a trio of new 99 overall Diamond bosses, a brand new Conquest Map, and Headliners Set. We’ve got all the details on what’s now included in the game to conquer and collect.
New Diamond Bosses available in MLB The Show 20 5th Inning
We’ve seen some great Diamond items in the game recently. Those have included the Cody Bellinger card many Diamond Dynasty fans are loving on their teams. There’s also the new Flawless Rewards players.
However, MLB The Show 20 5th Inning certainly brought a trio of legends for their new Diamond Bosses. Former Red Sox Silver Slugger David “Big Papi” Ortiz is there with a Diamond Hitting card with over 100 ratings for his Contact and Power attributes.
There’s also Big Papi’s well known New York Yankees rival, closing pitcher Mariano Rivera. He brings the heat with a five-pitch repertoire featuring 97 mph 4-Seam Fastball, 96 mph Cutter, and a 94 mph Sinker to take down the toughest bats in late-game situations.
Last but not least is another slugger, this time from Colorado. It’s the Rockies former powerhouse, Larry Walker. He has both Diamond Hitting and Defense to put to use on your Diamond Dynasty team.
Gamers get to choose one of the three MLB The Show 20 5th Inning Bosses upon racking up 300 Programs (points). This is done through Missions and Moments in the game.
New Conquest Map available for play
As with the other Inning programs in MLB The Show 20, 5th Inning also gets a brand new Conquest map to take over. Conquest involves taking your Diamond Dynasty roster of choice and trying to conquer a map featuring other MLB teams.
With the MLB The Show 20 5th Inning Map, you’ll be taking on six different clubs. They are the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, and Miami Marlins. Along the way, you can earn hidden rewards such as free packs, player cards, and more.
Prospect as Headliners Set 31 featured star
The new Headliners Set 31 packs also arrived in MLB The Show 20 as part of the 5th Inning program. With these new packs, gamers can go after the new Future Stars card for Dylan Carlson. He gets a 97 overall with both Diamond Hitting and Defense. Here’s a look at all of the key attributes.
As with previous Headliners Sets, the packs go for 7,500 MLB The Show Stubs. Gamers are able to buy a maximum of five of the packs per account, with each pack bringing a 1 in 10 chance at an 85 overall or better Diamond player.
A few other items arrived with the new 5th Inning Program including a new set of Moments and Missions to earn a player for your team. We’ll have more details on that soon.
