343 Industries’ collaboration with Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix has resulted into a powerful Halo arcade cabinet experience called Halo: Fireteam Raven. Weird as that sounds, a compilation of Halo: Fireteam Raven Cutscenes is available on Youtube and it looks amazing.
Halo: Fireteam Raven is available exclusively at Dave & Busters in North America but it’s no secret that the cabinets may be traveling across the world in some of the biggest conventions of this and the next years.
A bold player has managed to clip some footage of Halo: Fireteam Raven and uploaded it to youtube making a Halo: Fireteam Raven cutscenes compilation, to show us outside of North America what we’re missing. Beware, if you intend of playing the game for yourself, the video below includes spoilers.
It’s hard not to see how amazing Halo: Fireteam Raven looks. We wouldn’t expect such an experience from an arcade cabinet, but it seems that all collaborating parts have overdelived in the project.
The Halo: Fireteam Raven cabinet comes to an enormous 130-inch, 4k screen experience and four turret-mounted, multipurpose machine guns to allow four players to fight off alien enemies in frenetic, explosive combat. So you are practically aiming a turret on this one, rather than having a classic Halo shooting experience.
During a recent Inside Xbox episode, 343 Industries talked about their decision to work on Halo: Fireteam Raven:
We [in the studio] all grew up in arcades. That’s where we got into games. We’ve been pumping quarters in when we were little kids and we got a chance to meet with Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix and all those legendary arcade makers and they came to us with the idea and we were like how can we pass this up?
