Pack and card costs, Collection Reward
Gamers who have enough MLB The Show Stubs can pick up as many as five packs each of the new Home Run Derby packs. They bring a cost of 20,000 Stubs each, so that’s 200,000 total for those who want to gamble for some great Diamonds.
Over at the Community Market, we checked on some of the latest prices. Cespedes cards have Buy Now prices near 60,000 Stubs, while Judge and Stanton have prices at a similar level. Pete Alonso is just over 62,000 Stubs right now. In fact, most of the players are under the 60,000 Stubs level at the moment.
By the way, there’s a new collection reward along with MLB The Show 20 Home Run Derby packs. It’s none other than three-time winner Ken Griffey Jr., wearing his hat backwards just like back in the day.
The Kid brings Diamond Hitting and Defense. He’s got just 74 Contact Right and 84 Contact Left, but 125 for Power Right and Left. Junior also has 86 Fielding, 87 Arm Strength, and 75 Speed.
To get the Ken Griffey Jr. card you need to collect 10 of the other players from the packs. By doing so you can go and exchange them at the Collections area under “Legends and Flashbacks” as there’s a new Home Run Derby group.
Exchange 10 cards to not only get Junior but also 6,000 Stubs and 7,500 XP. Collect 13 of the player cards to unlock a Ballin Bundle with five Ballin’ is a Habit Packs, 12,000 Stubs, and 15,000 XP.
The new packs arrive just after MLB The Show kicked off their 5th Inning Program in the game complete with new Team Affinity rewards and more.
