How does Ranked Seasons work?
With MLB The Show 20 Ranked Seasons you’ll be competing against other players online in games using your Diamond Dynasty team. As you win games or do well, you’ll gain points and progress up the levels. These include Spring Training, Regular Season, All-Star, Pennant Race, Wild Card, Division Series, and Championship Series.
To get a choice of the new Ranked Seasons rewards, you’ll need to get to the World Series level of the mode. Once there, you can choose from Vladimir Guerrero, Eddie Mathews, Dustin Pedroia (97 OVR), and George Foster (97 OVR) as well as a Universal Profile Nameplate and Universal Profile Icon.
By the way, achieving that level in the mode also brings 5,000 MLB The Show Stubs and a whopping 40,000 XP with it. There are other rewards along the way for other levels including various amounts of Stubs and XP, as well as other Reward choice packs.
For example, the Pennant Race level brings a choice of lower-rated Diamond players Brett Gardner, Johnny Cueto, Bobby Witt Jr., or Rich Gossage. However, that World Series levels is what you’ll want if you want to add one of the new 99 OVR player items.
The newest installment of Ranked Seasons started on July 6 and will run until August 3 at 3 p.m. Pacific Time. So get those games in, rack up the wins, and hopefully grab one of the new 99 OVR Diamond rewards!
