Over the past week or so, 2K has been revealing more of the superstars who will be a part of the upcoming WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster. More superstars revealed for WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster
Weeks ago we saw the first major trailer for the newest WWE 2K game. It featured a number of popular superstars from past and present including John Cena, The Undertaker, Daniel Bryan, The Fiend, Becky Lynch, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Now we’re getting an indication that there will be many other superstars in the game.
The newest teaser reveal video arrived on Sunday, Aug. 9, and featured none other than Stephanie McMahon. In the clip, she’s going against one half of The Bella Twins, Brie Bella. Fans already saw Nikki Bella in a match in a WWE 2K Battlegrounds trailer.
A day prior to that, fans saw superstars Ember Moon and Nikki Cross battling it out in the arcade-style pro wrestling game. In the teaser, Nikki seems to have a power-up enabled causing her to glow neon green.
On August 7, it was a teaser video featuring Ron Killings aka “R-Truth” as he goes up against Shinsuke Nakamura in the ring. As with other videos, it was just five seconds in length and featured one of the competitors using some sort of power-up move.

As mentioned, those names above seem to be just a small part of an extensive WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster. The game’s official cover (below) shows Stone Cold, The Rock, The Undertaker, The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Kofi Kingston, Andre the Giant, Yokozuna, Roman Reigns, John Cena, Rhonda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka.
We also saw other superstars in the trailer for the game (below). They included Daniel Bryan, Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Sasha Banks, Braun Strowman, and Sgt. Slaughter. Other promotional images have shown The Big Show, Rey Mysterio, and Samoa Joe.
In addition, the Rated-R Superstar Edge is available for those who pre-order the Standard or Deluxe Edition. It’s also worth mentioning that the Deluxe pre-order includes three versions each of Stone Cold, The Rock, and Ronda Rousey.
We don’t know the full roster, but based on the reveals that have been coming, they could have a lot more superstars in store. Even if they aren’t there at the start of the game, it seems more could be added as DLC once the game is out.
The new WWE game has an official release date of Sept. 18, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
