Apex Legends Season 6 hasn’t even been live for a week, but Respawn is already rolling out the first post-launch update, which includes fixes for several Rampart bugs. Additionally, the update includes playlist changes which reduce the number of Gold Helmets, Gold Backpacks, and Gold Knockdown Shields.
The First Apex Legends Season 6 Update
Earlier this week, Respawn launched Apex Legends Season 6. The new season brought with it new content like Rampart, the Volt, changes to World’s Edge, and new crafting mechanics. Of course, as with any new release, there are a few small bugs. However, it seems that Respawn is acting fast to get these resolved. Just three days after the Season 6 launch, the studio has rolled out their first post-launch update.
The first part of this Apex Legends Season 6 update is a range of fixes for several Rampart bugs. A server error which caused players to disconnect when placing Amped Cover as Rampart has been fixed, for example, as has an error which occurred when players were on Rampart’s turret when it was destroyed. Slightly more amusingly, an obscure bug has been causing a specific Bloodhound skin and Lifelife’s Guardian skin to get an abnormally stretched neck while using Rampart’s turret. The former has now been fixed. However, Respawn is still working on a fix for the latter.
Alongside these fixes, Respawn also rolled out a playlist update today. The first feature of this is a reduction to Devotion damage from 17 to 16, along with an increase to recoil. (More adjustments to the Devotion are apparently on the way). The update also reduces the number of Devotions and Turbochargers which will spawn. Furthermore, the Season 6 update also reduces the number of certain gold loot items throughout the whole game. These include Gold Helmets and Gold Backpacks, as well as Gold Knockdown Shields.
