Ever since Sony ported Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn over to PC, you may have been wondering if it is the start of a new trend. Is Sony going to port more 1st party PlayStation games to PC going forward? According to Sony’s statement in a recent report, the answer to that question is a resounding “yes.” Let’s take a look at what the company plans for the future.
Could More 1st Party PlayStation Games Be Available on PC?
Sony recently published a 2020 Corporate Report with updates on games, music, and a number of other areas in which the company does business. In that report, the company states, “We will explore expanding our 1st party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability.”
Unfortunately, the report provides no further details about the PlayStation games which could head to PC. Could they include more games which are already only available on PS4? Could they encompass games which will release for PS5? Will Sony only make sporadic games available on PC, or will the company look to port a large number of PlayStation games to PC?
