With the recent launch of Season 5 Reloaded in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward released another new weapon for both Modern Warfare and Warzone; the FiNN LMG. This so-called “ultra-light” machine gun boasts very low recoil, making it unusually accurate for an LMG.
Season 5 Reloaded: The Modern Warfare FiNN LMG
“An ultra-light open olt 5.56 machine gun with a low cyclic rate and advanced recoil controls, giving the FiNN exceptional full-auto accuracy,” describes Activision. Once players unlock the FiNN LMG in Modern Warfare, the weapon is available to use, and it offers a unique alternative to the game’s existing LMGs. Indeed, the FiNN functions almost like a hybrid halfway between an LMG and an assault rifle.
Most notably, the FiNN LMG is the most accurate LMG in the game, and more mobile than its peers too, with a faster aim-down-sight speed. Loaded with 5.56 ammunition, it boasts comparable damage to other machine guns, but with easily manageable recoil. When fired, the FiNN recoils directly up with almost no side-to-side swaying, keeping it stable and accurate. However, users should note that the gun has a momentary delay before firing when the trigger is pulled. After a couple of milliseconds, the FiNN opens fire in full-auto.
Another advantage of the FiNN LMG in Modern Warfare are the unique attachments available to the gun. The first of these is the XRK ChainSAW stock. This add-on removes the ability to aim-down-sights, but improves hip-fire accuracy and allows you to add an under-barrel attachment. The FiNN also has access to Cased Telescopic Rounds; a unique 5.56 ammo type which speeds up both ADS and move speed, thanks to its lighter weight (although they are less effective at range). Finally, the FiNN can also be fitted with Adverse Barrels. This attachment opens the gas regulator on the machine gun, allowing you to push its firing rate higher than any other LMG in the game. This can make it extremely powerful, although it will consume ammunition very quickly as a result.
