A superstar’s finishing move is typically what they use to take down their opponent for a big victory, whether by pinfall or submission. In WWE 2K Battlegrounds moves, these are the Signatures or Finishers. Gamers are able to perform the Signatures/Finishers at specific times. In this guide, we’ll show you when and how to do finishers in the Battlegrounds game.
How to do Finishers in WWE 2K Battlegrounds moves
The controls for WWE 2K Battlegrounds moves take some getting used to in order to know what does what. Clearly, some gamers can just start mashing buttons and figure a bit out. For example, repeatedly pushing on a button will kick or punch your opponent.
A signature or finisher in the Battlegrounds game is a “powerful movement that deals a lot of damage” to an opponent. Some are performed while your opponent is standing, while others are performed with your opponent down on the mat.
It’s important to know that a signature/finisher in the WWE 2K Battlegrounds moves will depend upon your entire Heat Bar. That’s the circle underneath your superstar. It basically fills up with the color white as you deal out damage to your opponent. It also fills up white as you taunt, and fills a slight bit if you take damage.
In order to do a Battlegrounds finisher, you’ll need your Heat Bar to be completely full. Press L2 + R2 together on PS4 controller, or LB + RB for Xbox One. This will perform that superstar’s signature or finishing move on the opponent.
It won’t always bring a successful pinfall or submission, but it will always help take lots of energy away from your opponent!
What are the signatures and finishers?
Edge’s Spear, Randy Orton’s RKO, and Hulk Hogan’s Leg Drop are among the classic finishing moves you’ll see in Battlegrounds. However, some of the WWE 2K Battlegrounds moves have been modified or changed when it comes to superstars’ signatures and finishers.
For example, there’s no 619 for Rey Mysterio, no Phenomenal Forearm for AJ Styles, and no Swanton Bomb for Jeff Hardy. That may be disappointing for some fans.

We mentioned in our guide about unlocking Battlegrounds superstars that there will be more additions for the roster in the coming weeks and months. So that means even more WWE 2K Battlegrounds moves will be on the way for the new superstars.
