A recent annoyance with the Madden video game involved receivers dropping passes that typically they should catch. Due to that issue popping up, EA took note and quickly worked to fix it. Now, as of Thursday morning, they released Madden NFL 21 title update 1.11. Here are more details about the latest update which should take care of those irritating dropped passes.
Madden NFL 21 title update 1.11 fixes dropped passes issue
Earlier this week, a huge Madden title update arrived which addressed a lot of issues with the game in pretty much every mode. There were a lot of gameplay updates including new Abilities and issue fixes. However, there was also a glaring issue they created with the patch.
It involved tight ends and receivers dropping passes in the game with no real explanation other than a gameplay animation issue. Numerous gamers pointed it out on social media, including the YouTube video below which called out the major issue.
Luckily, the developers quickly took note and quickly fixed things. A new Madden NFL 21 title update came out Thursday morning around 11 a.m. Eastern Time. It’s available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as for Origin and Steam versions of the game.
The download is small- it was just around 350 megabytes for the PlayStation 4, and only fixes the dropped passes issue. Per EA’s forum notes:
Fixed a gameplay physics issue sometimes preventing receivers from properly catching the ball, which was exposed by work in Tuesday’s title update.
Of course, along with the fix comes plenty of cheers in favor of the quick Madden NFL 21 patch update. There are also those wondering if the dropped passes are still happening in the case of defenders trying to pick off the ball. Stay tuned for more on that as it could be an issue still in the game.
The good news, for now, is that you shouldn’t see receivers dropping those catchable passes, unless of course they aren’t good, or are being defended heavily.
