You probably recall when Sony announced that PS5 is backwards compatible with 99% of PS4 games. Have you been wondering which PS4 games will not be compatible with the PS5? It turns out that the remaining 1% of games actually do not add up to many at all. Sony finally clarified what it meant and provided a full list of the games in question.
Here are the PS4 Games Not Compatible With PS5
Sony made a post titled, “Backward compatibility: PlayStation®4 games playable on PlayStation®5.”
Sony lists these as “PS4 only games” in the post:
- DWVR
- Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One
- TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2
- Just Deal With It!
- Shadow Complex Remastered
- Robinson: The Journey
- We Sing
- Hitman Go: Definitive Edition
- Shadwen
- Joe’s Diner
That is just ten games. Sony also added, “This list is subject to change and excludes demos, media, and non-game applications.” So, it is possible that games could be added to this list or removed in the future. Sony also says that when you are browsing the PlayStation Store, games that fall into this category will be listed as “Playable on: PS4 only.”
You can view the post yourself if you are looking for additional details. Theoretically, Sony will update this list in the future if it does change, though we are not sure if the permanent list will reside at this post or if there will be a separate page for it.
