Madden 21 Sale Arrives Ahead of Prime Day 2020 Deals for PS4, Xbox One
Amazon Prime Day 2020 is on the way this coming week, with many shoppers looking towards big deals on video games. There are already several major discounts hitting that particular category, including a Madden 21 sale for the game on Sony PlayStation 4 or Microsoft Xbox One. It makes for a nice savings ahead of the game moving to the next-generation consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Pre-Prime Day 2020 deals include Madden 21 sale
Currently, Amazon has Madden 21 on sale for just under $40 a copy on either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. That’s a savings of $20 off the price from when the popular EA football simulation was first released at $59.99.
The game is available for this price for a disc copy of the game in the box, so it will be shipped, rather than an instant digital download. That means you’ll need to wait a bit until you can start playing.
The game currently has over 700 reviews on Amazon and they’re mostly positive. That’s despite the rough start EA’s latest Madden title had with numerous bad reviews upon the game’s release back in late August.
The game features all of the latest teams with roster updates and popular modes including Ultimate Team and Franchise. There’s also the newer Superstar KO mode and newest mode, The Yard, which have been fun additions for those looking for different ways to play virtual football.
How to upgrade game for next-gen PS5 or Xbox Series X
Gamers are starting to look forward to next-generation consoles as Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X(or S) arrive just ahead of the holidays. The Xbox Series X/S arrive on November 10, while PlayStation 5 arrives on November 12.
Gamers who have Madden 21 on PS4 can upgrade to next-gen free of charge for PS5. The same goes for those who buy Madden 21 on Xbox One and get the new Xbox Series X or S consoles. Progress from various game modes will also carry over on current-gen and next-gen versions of the game.
Still, it’s important to note that this Amazon Madden 21 sale is for physical discs of the game ahead of the next-gen release. It’s only possible to upgrade digital to digital, or disc to disc from one generation to the other.
So anyone who buys physical disc copies will only be able to upgrade to a physical disc on the next-generation. That means buying a digital-only PlayStation 5 will require buying a digital copy of Madden 21 for PS5.
