Images Released of the Godfall PS5 Game Box

Been wanting to get a close look at the front and back of some PS5 box art? Now you can. Gearbox just shared images of the Godfall PS5 game box. Not only is this a chance to see the Godfall art, but you also can get a feel for what the general appearance of PS5 game boxes is going to be like. Let’s take a look!

Check Out the Godfall PS5 Game Box

The tweet is from Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox:

The text says, “Attention fellow game lovers, peers and enthusiasts: Behold the first Playstation 5 game! Hot off the presses, this is the first to manufacture next gen retail game in the world. Congratulations to Counterplay Games and the team here at Gearbox Publishing!”

In the images, you can see both the front and back of the Godfall PS5 game box, and you can get a look at the disc itself. All in all, the game box seems more or less like what we have been used to during the PS4 generation. One thing that might confuse you regarding Godfall specifically are the labels, “No Offline Mode” and “PlayStation Plus Subscription Required.” But the official Godfall Twitter account has confirmed, “To play solo, you do not need a PS Plus account.” So, those labels are a bit misleading.

Godfall is one of the launch titles for PS5, so it will be available on the same day, November 12th. If you want to play using the disc, you will need to purchase the full version of the PS5 console for $499.99. If you want the digital-only version of the console, that will run you just $399.99.

In other PlayStation news, we now know that fewer than 0.25% of PS4 games won’t be backwards compatible on PS5. In fact, there are just 10 games for PS4 that Sony has confirmed won’t run on PS5. While the list may change in the future, that means that anything not in that pile of 10 games should run on PS5 just fine. So, that is fantastic news! Check in with us again soon for more updates. We are less than a month away now from the release of PlayStation 5!
