Players Can Create Their Own Clubs in Apex Legends Season 7

While much attention is currently being given to Olympus, the new map coming in Apex Legends Season 7, as well as the new Legend – Horizon – there is another major new feature coming to Apex Legends next week. Apex Legends Clubs will give players the ability to create and join new social groups in-game for the first time.

The New Apex Legends Clubs in Season 7

“Clubs are a new social feature that make it easier to build a community and squad up for battle,” explains Respawn; “More than just a secondary friends list, clubs are a way to keep in touch with your clubmates, see what they’ve been up to, and send club-wide party invites. If you don’t already have companions to squad up with, you’ll be able to search for clubs to find one that’s right for you.”

Apex Legends Clubs Season 7 Details

When Season 7 launches on the 4th of November, the new Apex Legends Clubs will be available via a new tab in the in-game lobby. Here, players will be able to either create or join a club. When you create a new club, you’ll be able to set its name, a 4-character tag which squadmates will be able to see in matches, and a logo. Additionally, creators will be able to choose specific privacy settings, as well as up to five search tags. These tags are aimed to help new players find suitable groups, and include options like; “#All Game Modes, #Experienced Players Only, #Mic Required,” and so on.

Interestingly, clubmates should actually have a very similar ping when they group up together. This is because the Club binds to the data centre which the creator was on when they create the club. Once you’ve joined a club, a variety of options will be available to you. For instance, all members have access to the list of members, where you can send invites or press; “Invite All to Party,” which will send out a universal invite. The club also has its own Timeline to show recent member activity, as well as a chat function.

Within a club, four ranks are available. The creator of the club is the Owner, while new members are Grunts. The Owner can appoint Grunts to the rank of Captain, which permits them to send invites to new members. They can also appoint Admins, who can kick out other members, change settings, appoint Captains, and so on. Both Admins and the Owner can also post announcements. These will pop up for members whenever they next enter the lobby.
