Madden NFL 21 Title Update 1.15 Arrives for November With Gameplay Fixes, New Superstar KO Mode

A brand new Madden NFL 21 title update launched for the game on Thursday. QB draws, dropped interceptions, and more RAC catches were just some of the fixes for gameplay. In addition, to a number of updates across the game’s modes, it brought a wide variety of gameplay tweaks, tunings, or fixes. There’s also a new game mode added into the popular Superstar KO football mode which gamers can use to see just how good they are in SSKO.

Madden NFL 21 Title Update 1.15 addresses gameplay issues with dropped INTs, QB Draw

In the first major Madden NFL 21 update of the new month, Version 1.15 arrived on Thursday, November 5, 2020. Based on the title update notes from EA’s Developers, gameplay received the most attention, as it usually does.

Dropped interceptions were an issue in the game for a bit now, but developers have finally addressed it. They’ve basically fixed the issue where a player was causing an INT to be knocked out of their teammate’s grasp. In addition, they decreased catching penalties for defenders catching INTs in traffic. While this will help to reduce the number of dropped INTs, don’t expect it to completely eliminate them.

The Madden team discovered that QB Draw was overpowered. So this has been tuned where quarterbacks will fumble much more on the plays when not fatigued. Additionally, the devs “added logic to slow down” a quarterback’s acceleration at the end of the dropback on those QB Draw plays. The direction a quarterback can move immediately after catching the snap for QB Draw is also restricted some following this update.

New Superstar KO mode, The Yard, and more

The Madden 21 NFL Title Update 1.15 also added something new for fans of Superstar KO mode. There is now a new game mode within that part of Madden 21 called Endless Run.

Here’s the description of the new mode, per Madden’s report:

“Play until you lose and keep drafting along the way in Superstar KO’s Endless Run. Become the longest surviving Superstar and track your progress with new leaderboards. All of your play will earn you XP and rewards.”

A few other things worth noting are the addition of new gear and Chad Ochocinco for Madden 21’s The Yard mode. They’ve also redesigned the Nike field. It was formerly a Bo Jackson theme but is now changed to an Odell Beckham Jr. theme.

It’s worth mentioning that Agent K on Good Morning Madden Twitch on Thursday morning said Franchise Mode will soon get an update, so gamers should stay tuned for that. The update and details are expected next week on what may have been fixed, tweaked, or changed.

Also, keep in mind, Madden 21 next-gen is on the way next month. Since release date is December 2020, we’re expecting they’ll start releasing details about this as they lead up to release day.
