How Apex Legends Season 7 Simplifies the Challenge System

With the launch of Apex Legends Season 7, a host of big new content updates have arrived in the game; a new Legend, a new map, even the game’s first-ever vehicle. However, there are also several small quality-of-life changes which have come as part of Season 7, one of which aims to make the Apex Legends Challenges simpler and more rewarding.

How Apex Legends Season 7 Challenges Work

Apex Legends Season 7 includes a significant overhaul of the game’s Challenge system, ranging from how they are displayed to their rewards. Essentially, rather than CP, your Battle Pass progress will now be measured with Stars. Each Star equates to 1/10th of a single level, filling a slot on a progression meter. When full, the meter resets and your level will be awarded to you. As a result, players should have a clearer picture of their current progress.

Apex Legends Season 7 Challenges System Changes

Challenges, meanwhile, will now be sorted into daily, weekly, and event lists. Those close to completion will prioritize to the top of the list, making it immediately obvious which to focus on. Challenges will also now be displayed more clearly on the end of match summary. Another big change is that there will no longer be recurring Weekly Challenges. This doesn’t mean fewer rewards, however. Instead, the rewards which would have been given from these challenges have been rolled into the newly overhauled Daily Challenges.

Unique weekly challenges, meanwhile, will still be available. These can be completed at any time, and offer similar rewards and objectives, though according to Respawn, more consistent difficulty. Meanwhile, the XP Challenge will now award 1 star per 10,000 XP earned. Boosts gained from the premium Battle Pass will increase this progress by 50%, but this doesn’t mean getting more actual XP. Instead, it simply changes how much XP is counted for the purpose of the challenge.
