GTA Online Cayo Perico Heist Update Lets Players Solo the Heist
You may be aware that next month, the Cayo Perico Heist update is coming to Grand Theft Auto Online. But did you know that this update is bringing a major change to the heist structure? In the past, you could only complete the heist with a team. But going forward, you will be able to do it solo.
You Can Solo the Heist With the Cayo Perico Heist Update
We still do not have a lot of details on what the change will mean for the heist. Obviously, it will mean that you will not need teammates to complete it. That means no need to wait till your friends are available, and no need to deal with randoms if they aren’t. But there are a couple of potential issues that players are pointing out.
For example, will it be significantly harder to complete the heist alone? One would expect so, if there is no change to its overall difficulty. But if the difficulty is going down to help solo players, will it be too easy for those who are with a team? Or will the game detect your situation and adjust the difficulty to fit?
There is also the matter of the reward for the heist. Hypothetically, if it stays the same regardless, a solo player will rake in a lot more than a player on a team. On one hand, that could discourage team play. On the other, if the mission is much harder alone, a higher payoff does make sense.
