Been eager for updates on Destiny 2 cross-play and other features? Bungie just rolled out a lot of news about cross-play and more coming to Destiny 2 as we move into 2021. Let’s check out what we can look forward to on the horizon.
Updates on Destiny 2 Cross-Play, Transmog, and More
You an find the full blog post from Bungie here. The biggest news is that cross-play will be here next year. So as of 2021, you will be able to play with all of your friends, no matter what platforms they are on.
But there is also some exciting news about Season 13 and Season 14. All console players can look forward to DDOS protection in Season 13. Two strikes are on the way as well—Fallen S..A.B.E.R. and Devil’s Lair. Also, Lost Sectors on the Moon will join the rotation for Season 13, and players will have the chance to pursue three new Exotic armor pieces. Finally, in Season 14, Transmog is coming. The post includes a couple of screenshots for managing your appearance to give you a preview of what you can expect. The post notes that these are just mockups; the final screens may look different, and there are “more details to come.”

Bungie, as always, welcomes feedback from players. The post wraps up with, “2020 has been a hard year for so many folks out there, and I hope that Beyond Light has been able to be a bright spot over the past couple of weeks. Playing Destiny 2 alongside you helps keep us going. We’re going to keep our ears and eyes open for more feedback as we continue towards 2021.”
