Apex Legends Season 8 Launch Trailer Obliterates Kings Canyon

The Apex Legends Season 8 launch trailer has now arrived, giving fans their next glimpse at what’s to come in the new season. Although it doesn’t give any detailed looks at the new map redesign, it does show just how the new “Obliterated Kings Canyon” map has come about…

Apex Legends Season 8 Launch Trailer

First teased with the recent release of “Good as Gold,” the Stories From the Outlands episode which revealed the new character of Fuse, Apex Legends Season 8 – Mayhem looks set to introduce a lot of explosive new content. Fuse was, once again, the star of today’s launch trailer, which shows his arrival in Kings Canyon for the new Apex Games season. Unfortunately, things take a sharp turn for the worse, when his rival from Good as Gold explosively sabotages the event.

The destruction which is subsequently unleashed across Kings Canyon irrevocably changes the map into a blasted, smoke-shrouded ruin, although fans were only offered a few glimpses at the new area. Season 8 will be launching with a new map redesign called “Obliterated Kings Canyon,” although Respawn have yet to reveal details about what the map will look like after its destruction. The trailer does briefly show off, however, the new weapon coming in Season 8; Fuse uses one of the new 30-30 Repeaters to shoot a wrist-fired cluster grenade. (Possibly also a teaser for one of his in-game abilities.)

Apex Legends Season 8 Launch Trailer Released

The Apex Legends Season 8 launch trailer ends with the official announcement of the new season’s launch date. This confirms that Season 8 will be launching on the 2nd of February. That should afford Respawn plenty of time to release new details about the upcoming content. No doubt a gameplay trailer will emerge in the next week or so, along with an overview of the new Legend’s abilities. For those, however, fans will have to wait patiently for a little longer.
