World of Tanks: Mercenaries has launched globally for PS4 and Xbox One and is now available for free. It is the next chapter of one of the most popular video games, the World of Tanks.
World of Tanks: Mercenaries was launched two days ago on June 26 and is available to download for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, Xbox One and Xbox 360. It introduces an alternate reality of the original World of Tanks video game. This new reality is set in World War II and brings some brand new stuff along with it.
There are a few differences between the original game and World of Tanks: Mercenaries. Apart from the World War II setting, it also introduces the “Mercenary Nation”. Additionally, players now can create new vehicles by collecting parts from other captured and abandoned vehicles. Some of the vehicles included in this new update are brand new ones connected directly with those of the most powerful war machines of World War II.
Another change that came with this update was the Contract System. Players are now assigned with various different missions in order to earn some of the new Mercenary vehicles. In those missions, players have to fight for themselves. However, there are also some Multiplayer battles included in the game from which players can also unlock vehicles upon their completion. The Multiplayer battles are followed by certain in-game objectives that will bring players closer to their rewards.
This whole World of War II story takes the players on various different missions related to the events of the war. Therefore, the new unique Mercenary crews have their own vehicles, which are directly connected to the war and have their own story and playstyle. This also means that every character is also different from one another. Moreover, this new world has an impact across the entire game. There are many popular maps that have been reworked in order to fit better in this whole new Mercenaries universe.
World of Tanks: Mercenaries will bring some more new content in the weeks to come. This will include new additions to almost everything: the Mercenary Tech Tree, the maps, the Crews and some new events. You can now download it for free on your consoles.
