While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One may be heading towards its end, Treyarch is still releasing new multiplayer game modes. In their latest update, the studio have added a special Valentine’s Day-themed mode variant called Kiss Confirmed, as well as playlist changes and more.
The Latest New Black Ops Cold War Modes
“Today’s Black Ops Cold War update delivers Kiss Confirmed,” writes Activision; “our special Valentine’s Day-themed spin on Kill Confirmed.”
This variant mode is only available for a limited time; it will be available to play only until the 18th of February. The mode is largely the same as standard Kill Confirmed, but in place of dog tags, players will have to collect candy hearts as they score eliminations. Meanwhile, the Express 24/7 playlist is continuing, as are other modes like Face Off, 3v3 Gunfight Snipers, and Gunfight Blueprints.
Namely, this week’s featured playlists are mostly existing ones, with the sole new inclusion of a Kiss Confirmed playlist:
- Kiss Confirmed
- Express 24/7
- Nuketown 24/7
- 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only
- Gunfight Blueprints
- Face Off
- Prop Hunt
The update which introduced Kiss Confirmed also contains a few minor bug fixes and multiplayer balance adjustments. Fans of Nuketown will find that the Nuketown ’84 map is now available for 2v2 and 3v3 Custom Games, thanks to the update. Firebase Z, meanwhile, has gotten some stability and gameplay improvements. Players should find that Essence Traps and Tombstone Soda, the new perk which was added in Firebase Z, no longer cause any occasional crashes.
In fact, that isn’t the only change which has come for Tombstone Soda. The new perk has also received a buff with the latest update. From now on, when you revive yourself from shadow form, you’ll benefit from a knockback effect against enemies around you. This temporary advantage should help players get free of crowding enemies a little easier.
