NBA 2K21 MyTeam Idols II Celebrates Lunar New Year With Yao Ming, Jeremy Lin Cards
The Lunar New Year has recently arrived and a new NBA 2K21 MyTeam Idols II promotion is here with it. The new packs will feature several major stars of the NBA past and present. They include Galaxy Opal cards for Yao Ming and Jeremy Lin, as well as Pink Diamond for Kenyon Martin. Those are just three of the many available players in the new packs, though. MyTeam fans also have a chance to get a free pack.
NBA 2K21 MyTeam Idols II packs, new cards arrive
Jeremy Lin and Yao Ming are amongst all-time favorites in the NBA. The 7-foot-6 Yao is a Hall of Famer and international sensation who starred with the Houston Rockets. Lin dazzled fans with Linsanity as he played for the New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, and other squads. Now, both players have Galaxy Opal cards in the NBA 2K21 MyTeam Idols II packs.
Yao’s card outdoes his previous 90 OVR from the Tip-Off 2 West release. With his GO for Idols II, Yao has 93 Rebounding, 89 Outside Scoring, 88 Inside Scoring, and 84 Defending attributes. He also gets 18 Gold and 20 Hall of Fame Badges. This Yao card goes towards the Idols Series II Mystery player as well.
Jeremy Lin’s new GO card has 93 Athleticism and 92 Playmaking with 89 Outside Scoring and 88 Defending. Lin’s got 24 Hall of Fame Badges including Acrobat, Giant Slayer, Deadeye, Floor General, and more. Check out all of them at the MTDB listing here.
A promotional trailer below shows other players featured in the NBA 2K21 MyTeam Idols II packs. They include Dwyane Wade, Al Harrington, Jared Sullinger, Yi Jianlian, Kyle Anderson, and an EVO Kenyon Martin.
Packs and boxes have similar prices to previous releases. A five-card pack is 7,500 VC or 10,500 MT. A 10-pack box goes for 67,500 VC, while a 20-pack box goes for 135,000 VC. There’s also the Auction House to bid on or “buy now” for the specific player cards from this release.

Free Locker Code arrives with promotion
As with other NBA 2K21 MyTeam promotions, another free Locker Code arrived for gamers to enter. This one will potentially bring a free Idols II pack featuring one of those star players above. It could also result in free MyTeam Tokens or a Badges pack.
Simply enter the code IDOLS-SERIES-2-GO-YAO into the Settings/Locker Code area of MyTeam. Alternately, the code can be entered into the NBA 2K21 app using a mobile device keyboard to make it even easier.
Like previous 2K21 Locker Codes, the one above will last for just one week, so make sure to enter it before Friday, February 19, or lose out on the free rewards.
