The Apex Legends War Games event began almost two weeks ago, and as the new season launch approaches, it will soon be coming to an end. The final game mode – Armor Regen – is now live, and players have only a few more days in which to take part.
The Last Few Days of the Apex Legends War Games
The Apex Legends War Games event is the final event of Season 8, following Chaos Theory and the Anniversary Celebration. The event focused on variant gameplay modes, giving players the chance to try several over the course of two weeks. Each time, this mode took over the Play Apex playlist for a few days. The fifth and final of these variant modes is Armor Regen, which is currently live, and will remain so until the War Games event ends on the 27th of April, early next week.

Like most Apex Legends events, War Games features its own prize track, offering players the chance to unlock rewards by completing challenges. If you haven’t yet completed this prize track, you only have a couple more days in which to do so. You’ll need to earn 5,000 points to unlock everything, but note that you can’t earn more than 1,000 points in a single day. Alongside this track, there are four stretch challenges which offer unique badges on completion. These are available throughout the event, rather than being daily challenges.
Once War Games ends, players won’t have to wait too long before the next big event for Apex Legends. Apex Legends – Legacy, the upcoming 9th season – is due to launch on the 4th of May; one week after the end of War Games. That season includes a new Legend named Valkyrie, a new bow weapon, and likely much more. Respawn has yet to reveal many concrete details about what’s coming in Legacy.
