The launch of Season 4 in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Warzone is only days away, and with it, fans can look forward to getting their hands on a few new weapons! As per usual, some of these will be available at launch, with the rest coming mid-season.
Black Ops Cold War Season 4: New Weapons
At launch, two of the new weapons in Black Ops Cold War Season 4 will be available as tier rewards in the Season 4 Battle Pass. The first will be the MG 82 Machine Gun. This heavy-duty weapon will be available at Tier 15 of the Battle Pass. The MG 82 will boast the highest rate of fire of any LMG, according to Treyarch, with reasonable recoil and damage. Of course, the weapon will likely have no lack of customisability.
At Tier 31 of the Season 4 Battle Pass, players will unlock the second new weapon; the C58 Assault Rifle. Fully-automatic with high-damage rounds, the C58 has a slower rate of fire and less ammo capacity. It should work well as a close-range assault weapon, capable of taking down targets faster than other rifles – provided your aim is good.
In addition to the MG 82 and C58, a third weapon will also be available from launch, although it won’t be in the Battle Pass. This is the season’s most unusual inclusion; the Nail Gun. Based on the futuristic Nail Gun from Black Ops III, this weapon is nominally an SMG, but also sits in the Special weapon category. It has a slow rate of fire, but its nails deal high damage against close-range targets.
Another two weapons will be coming later in Season 4. The first is the OTs 9 Submachine Gun. This weapon will have an incredibly high rate of fire balanced by a relatively low magazine size, according to Treyarch. Finally, a Mace will also become available as the game’s eighth melee weapon.
