As the final hours of the Apex Legends Genesis Collection Event tick away, Apex players won’t have to wait long for the next special event. In fact, the upcoming Thrillseekers event is due to begin almost immediately, and will be live in-game for the next three weeks.
The Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event
Following the conclusion of the Genesis Collection Event tomorrow, on the 13th of July, Respawn will be launching the Apex Legends Thrillseekers event. Arguably smaller in scale than a Collection Event, Thrillseekers takes a new format; one focusing solely on the relatively new Arenas game mode. The event will launch alongside the first new permanent addition to the lineup of Arenas maps; Overflow. Plus, it will feature three weeks of event-exclusive prize tracks.
During the Genesis Collection Event, an Arenas map of the Kings Canyon location Skull Town has been available to play; the first new map for the mode since Arenas launched. However, it’s not a permanent addition, and will be unavailable once the event ends. Overflow, however, will be a permanent fixture, and also the first lane-based Arenas map.
Each week during Thrillseekers, players will be able to complete in-game challenges to earn points and advance on the weekly prize track. Each week offers a different selection of rewards as players aim to earn 3,000 points and earn the top weekly prize. (No more than 1,000 points can be earned per day.) Week #1 will feature a new Rampart skin, gun charm, and weapon skin. Week #2 won’t offer any cosmetic items, but will instead include Apex Packs, crafting metals, and Battle Pass boosters. Finally, week #3 will include some extra cosmetics, with the Lethal Enforcer Bangalore skin as the top reward.
Also available during the first two weeks of Thrillseekers is the Apex Legends Summer Splash Sale. During these two weeks, players will be able to get their hands on a range of event-exclusive cosmetics from previous events, all at discounted prices.
