Get Double XP in Black Ops Cold War All Weekend This Week
With the upcoming launch of Season 5 due to begin very soon, Treyarch is squeezing in one last Double XP event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Starting later this week on the 5th of August, the Double XP Weekend will be last for a full three days.
First Call of Duty Double XP Weekend of August
As of today’s announcement, we now know that the first Double XP Weekend event of August is coming this week. The event will start at 10:00 AM PT on the 6th of August, and will be live across both Black Ops Cold War & Warzone for three full days, until 10:00 AM PT on the 9th of August. The event is a great opportunity for players to grind XP for their Season 4 Battle Pass before the season ends, if players haven’t already completed it.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 is due to start on the 12th of August, in just over one week’s time. The opening cinematic for the season has already been released by Treyarch, along with the Season 4 Outro Cinematic. The new season trailer teases that Stitch is preparing to put the final stages of his plan into motion; a plan which has been progressing since the start of Season 1. It also teases the introduction of another Perseus operative, whose name has yet to be revealed.
This weekend’s Double XP event will be the last such event of Season 4. Treyarch certainly hasn’t held back during Season 4 when it comes to Double XP events; the studio has held plenty throughout its duration, along with its longest-ever Free Access period, giving gamers temporary free access to portions of Black Ops Cold War. If that is any indication of the future of the game, players should look forward to plenty more Double XP events in the upcoming season.
