Earlier today, CD Projekt Red made their first announcement about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3; the game’s third major update. Full patch notes have yet to be released, but the studio has released a first look video showcasing graphical and gameplay improvements, as well as some rough details about the key features in Patch 1.3.
Key Features of Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3
According to CD Projekt Red, full patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 are coming soon. In the meanwhile, the only source is a blog post which covers the central features in a somewhat vague style; written as an in-game news report. The first topic covered in this blog post is an update to “GPS navigation technology,” which appears to be a reference to the game’s driving mechanics. Specifically, the minimap visible when driving will show more information to the player, presumably in a wider area.
The second big feature in Patch 1.3 concerns the story sequence in Clouds. According to a UI Programmer at CD Projekt Red; “I was digging into code for a long time because I wanted to understand our UI videos system, and at the end I realised that the problem is in video setup. Value for video time was shorter than the video sequence. This way, players will better understand the decision they are making in this story sequence.”

Finally, the third aspect about Patch 1.3 covered in this blog is cyberware and personal coaching. While the exact changes in this area are not clearly detailed in today’s post, a Gameplay Designer at CD Projekt Red writes that; “For our players, this feature will mean safer experimentation with builds. It is easily accessible and affordable for everyone, so there is no need to hesitate while investing in particular perks.”
No doubt Patch 1.3 will include plenty more than these three areas when it launches. CD Projekt Red have not said when Patch 1.3 will release as of yet, but with full patch notes; “coming soon,” fans shouldn’t have to wait too long.
