Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 has been live in-game for several weeks now, and as such, it has come time for the launch of Season 5 Reloaded. This next major content release for both Black ops Cold War and Warzone is due to launch on the 9th of September. The release will be coming two days after the global reveal of Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 Reloaded
To begin with, Season 5 Reloaded will include an array of new content for Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer. The Zoo map, returning to the series after its first appearance in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, will be a new 6v6 map which offers some more open sight-lines than other maps of equivalent size. A Zoo 24/7 Featured Playlist will be available for players to try the new map out at launch. When it comes to modes, Season 5 Reloaded will bring with it Demolition, a returning mode from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Over in Zombies, the new update will be adding a brand-new Outbreak region, Armada. Taking place at sea, Armada will take players across several ships, out to salvage the wreck of a nuclear submarine. In fact, all across Outbreak, a new World Event will be available. Details for this event are currently under wraps. However, it will reportedly centre on a new chest type called the Black Chest. Meanwhile, on the round-based Zombies maps, players will start to encounter new “Rampage Inducers”. These can be used to increase the difficulty, speeding up zombie spawn rates and allowing zombies to sprint constantly.
Call of Duty: Warzone, meanwhile, is getting its own launch of new content. A new game mode, Clash, will be playable once the update goes live. This deathmatch-style mode pits two teams of 50 against one another with infinite respawns. Moreover, rather than fighting across the entire map, players will battle within singular sites, such as Boneyard or Downtown. A second new mode, Iron Trials ’84, will also be available to play; a variant of battle royale featuring changes to the core player stats and loadouts.
Across both games, players will also be able to take part in The Numbers Event. Featuring a series of in-game challenges, this event will give players the chance to unlock the Sai melee weapon, along with other rewards. Finally, alongside new Operator Hudson, Season 5 Reloaded will be offering players the chance to purchase a special store bundle featuring Operator skins based on Judge Dredd.
