The Game Critics Awards have tallied up their votes and handed out this year’s E3 honors, and it looks like the most coveted award of the show went to Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 remake.

According to this finalized list of Game Critics Awards winners for E3 2018, the Resident Evil 2 remake won the Best in Show award, which isn’t too surprising considering it was one of the biggest surprises of the entire event. Of course, even though it was the most prestigious award, the Best in Show award was the only accolade the Resident Evil 2 remake earned. Other games manages to snag multiple commendations with the PS4-exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man winning both the Best Console Exclusive and Best Action/Adventure Game categories, BioWare’s RPG Anthem taking both Best PC Game and Best Action Game, and another PS4 exclusive, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2, winning Special Commendations in both Sound and Graphics. CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 also took two wins, receiving Special Commendations for both Graphics and Innovation.
As for total publisher wins, Sony really cleaned up with six of its games winning awards, beating out Electronic Arts (four wins), Microsoft (three wins), and CD Projekt Red (two wins). It’s probably not surprising then that the PlayStation 4 took the platform wins crown by a wide margin, securing 17 wins in total (multiplatform games are included in the tally). Meanwhile the Xbox One got 12 wins, PC got 10, and the Nintendo Switch took up the rear with four wins.
In the weeks following E3 2018, Capcom has also been sharing more information about the Resident Evil 2 remake, including how it will see the return of some beloved characters (and one iconic boss fight), and how its two character campaigns will be different enough that they’ll both be worth playing through to get the full story.
