NBA 2K22 Halloween Event Details: MyCareer Adds Ghostly Gallows and The Long Night for Rewards
The spooky season is upon us, and an NBA 2K22 Halloween event has arrived for the game’s current and next-gen consoles. The events will take place in the MyCareer mode with gamers using their MyPlayer to gain additional rewards. With the events, MyPlayers will be participating in specific quests or tasks on board the Cancha del Mar cruise ship or in The City. Here’s the latest on what’s going on with the MyCareer modes for Halloween.
Neighborhood gets Ghostly Gallows NBA 2K22 Halloween event
If you’re on current-gen consoles, The Neighborhood is the place to be for an NBA 2K22 Halloween event involving your MyPlayer. Gamers with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch can go onboard the Cancha Del Mar cruise ship. That’s where they’ll find the Ghostly Gallows event, which is now in progress.
Based on details from 2K, Ghostly Gallows will allow gamers to earn two-times XP during Halloween weekend. To do so, you’ll need to put on Halloween outfits or play games on Decks 15 and 16. Along with that, there will be trick or treating on the ship for other prizes.
This event is expected to last for a full week, giving plenty of time to earn rewards for their Season 2 journey.
Special Halloween gear available for MyPlayer
Gamers can pick up Halloween-themed items by visiting Swags on the Cancha Del Mar. Once there, find the option for Halloween and browse through the various offerings. Among them are animated tee-shirts, pumpkin masks, wizard hats, funny glasses, and skeleton-themed pants.
Items range in price with some pants as low as 2,000 Virtual Currency, and other items selling for 20,000 to 25,000 VC. Spend wisely to pick out a fun Halloween outfit, so you can participate in the events onboard the ship!
The Long Night to take place in The City for new-gen consoles
While Ghostly Gallows appears for the current-gen, the new-gen consoles have The City which will feature The Long Night. According to 2K, this NBA 2K22 Halloween event will arrive on Sunday evening, which coincides with Halloween night.
This event allows MyPlayers to earn double XP for putting on their Halloween outfits and playing in outdoor basketball games. Additionally, there are rewards for trick or treating around The City during the event.
MyCareer and MyTeam Locker codes arrive
The latest content in The City and Neighborhood for MyCareer joins other Halloween-themed content in the game. On Friday, MyTeam fans could get new Alter Ego packs complete with Masked players that feature special upgrades for their cards. Among the NBA stars in the release are Kyrie Irving, Lebron James, Chris Paul, and Kevin Durant.
On Friday, 2K gave players a chance to get a free Alter Ego pack by entering the new Locker Code below into the Community Hub or mobile app. The other available rewards are two Tokens for use at the Rewards Market, or a Blinders Badge Pack.
Additionally, MyCareer got a Locker Code which arrived on Friday evening. With the code below, gamers can get a guaranteed Player Banner for current or new-gen in MyCareer. The code expires on Halloween just before midnight Pacific Time.
