Fortnite Battle Royale players have many different options to customize the character they play with. While the video game is free, players may purchase cosmetic items to change the look of their character. However, these items provide no competitive advantage and they are purely cosmetic items.
Despite giving no advantage in combat, players are still crazy about these skins. Some of them are extremely rare which drastically increases their value. In this article, we will check out the five rarest Fortnite skins released to the Item Shop! While Item Shop skins can always return, these are the five that are currently the rarest.
#5 – Vector & Sledge, 801 days
While neither Vector nor Sledge are very popular Fortnite skins, they haven’t been out since September 2019. Furthermore, Vector has been in the shop only three times, while players could purchase Sledge on only two occasions.
#4 – Infiltrator, 835 days
Infiltrator is one of the oldest Fortnite skins as it came out in November 2017 for the first time. According to progameguides, this skin comes out every 43 days on average, so it won’t be surprising if we see it soon again! However, it could very likely be kept in the Vault for a few more months to gain more value.
#3 – Sash Sergeant, 907 days
Sash Sergeant is another relatively basic Fortnite skin. It was first released in March 2018, but it hasn’t been seen since May 21, 2019. While this skin hasn’t been very popular, there is no doubt that many players will purchase it once it finally comes out again.
#2 – Black Widow, 927 days
Black Widow was among the first Marvel items released to Fortnite Battle Royale. This outfit came out during Season 8 of Chapter 1, or more specifically, on April 25, 2019. While Marvel skins are incredibly popular and the collaboration had its own season (Chapter 2, Season 4), the original Black Widow skin hasn’t been out since May 6, 2019.
#1 Special Forces, 1,028 days
Special Forces is one of the cleanest looking Fortnite skins that was released for 1,200 V-Bucks. It was one of the first Fortnite skins to ever be released to the game as its first release was on November 1, 2017. However, the last time players could purchase this skin was on January 24, 2019. Epic Games may try to pull another “Recon Expert” by keeping this skin away from the Item Shop for a long time. When it finally comes out, it will be an instant hit!
