Epic Games has released more than 1,000 Fortnite skins since the release of the game back in September 2017. While these skins give players no tactical advantage, they have become nearly a must-have! The popularity of the skins has risen and nearly every player owns at least one skin.
Despite being only cosmetic items, there are certain skins that have a bad reputation in Fortnite. This is why we have the list of the top 10 most hated Fortnite skins of all time!
The most hated Fortnite skins include many Headhunter outfits
Headhunter is one of many different player characters in Fortnite Battle Royale. Several popular skins, including Sparkle Specialist and Bullseye, are based on her. However, there are four Headhunter skins that are considered the most hated Fortnite skins at the moment!
Aura has to be the number one and is closely followed by Crystal. Both of these skins are used mostly by tryhard players and they’ve become popular due to popular streamers using them. However, the list wouldn’t be good without Bullseye and Sparkplug skins. While there are some amazing Headhunter skins in Fortnite, a lot of them have an awful reputation!
Customizable skins
Soccer skins have always been hated and that’s still the case. This is especially true for female soccer skins as many players use them thinking their hitbox is smaller. Oh, there is also a Headhunter soccer skin!
Besides this category, many players strongly dislike Superhero and Banner skins too. The skins may be different, but the “smaller hitbox” reasoning stays the same! Furthermore, a lot of Fortnite players had misused Superhero skins to gain an unfair advantage over their opponents, which is why Epic Games had to change them.
The final ones
Dynamo is considered a tryhard-only skin and it was popularized by Mongraal, one of the most popular Fortnite players. It might be a stereotype, but it really does feel that only “sweaty” players use this skin and you will get outplayed by it nine times out of 10!
Luxe is another skin that belongs to this list, but for a different reason. This skin is not generally used by tryhards and it feels like it’s not used by anyone. It was a final skin of the Season 8 (Chapter 1) Battle Pass, but it was such a letdown. Even her additional styles don’t help her case, which is why she’s on the list of the most hated Fortnite skins! However, there was a leak about a Luxe remake and the new version looks amazing! We’re hoping it’s true.
Finally, this list would not make sense without Travis Scott. This artist had an amazing Fortnite concert back in April 2020 and it was one of the most amazing things ever seen in the game. However, due to his recent Astroworld controversy, many players want to return the skin. Epic Games has already removed a Travis Scott emote and it is very unlikely that the skin will return to the Item Shop soon, if ever.
