PUBG Is Free To Play On Xbox One This Weekend

Are you one of the last five people in the world who hasn’t tried PUBG? Sorry you’ve been missing out, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. You can actually hop on Xbox One right now and play for free, though it’s only going to last you a few days. So long as you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you can download and play PUBG right now from today, April 19 until 11:59 PM ET on Sunday, April 22. That’s plenty of time for you to figure out if it’s your cup or tea or not, right?

Unlike the free-to-play Fortnite: Battle Royale, PUBG has what might call a steep $30 barrier to entry, especially since the Xbox One version is essentially an early access edition of the game as it is. You can jump right in without any fanfare, and if you decide to buy the game after a long weekend of chicken dinners, you can keep all the progress and experience you’ve earned.

If you do decide to buy the game, the Xbox One version of PUBG is finally getting the desert-based Miramar next month. Right now, all you can play is Erangel, but you’ll get more vehicles in the form of a minibus, jet ski, and pickup truck next year for your patience. The Xbox One version has a special limited-time DLC pack you can purchase as well for $7 with a set of new outfits to kit your character out in.

Ready to go out there and start racking up the kill count? Hop online now and take on the entirety of the Xbox One PUBG fanbase. It’s time. You deserve it.
