Elder Scrolls Online Announces Upcoming ESO Plus Event With Significant Rewards
ESO Plus is a monthly subscription service in Elder Scrolls Online which offers players a wide variety of perks. The service was introduced in 2015, when the Elder Scrolls Online changed business models into “Tamriel Unlimited”. Bethesda has now announced an upcoming ESO Plus event which will let players trial the service for free while offering existing subscribers some substantial rewards.
The ESO Plus Subscription Service
When The Elder Scrolls Online first released in 2014, the title had a base game price but also charged a monthly subscription fee for access. This model proved unpopular with fans, and so less than a year later, Bethesda rebranded the game as “Tamriel Unlimited”. The game retained its initial sale price, but no longer required a subscription. In its place, Bethesda created ESO Plus, an optional subscription service which offered bonus perks and rewards. ESO Plus is presently available for $14.99 per month, $13.99 per month for three months, or $12.99 per month for six months.
The ESO Plus service offers players full access to the game’s DLC content, unlimited crafting material storage, a bonus 1,500 Crowns per month, double bank space, +10% Gold and experience, double the amount of furnishings and collectible space in houses, the ability to dye costumes, and a heightened currency cap for Transmutation Crystals.
The ESO Plus Event and Rewards
Bethesda has announced an ESO Plus Bonus Event which will begin at 10:00 AM EDT on July 10th. The event will run until the 16th of July at 10:00 AM EDT. During the event, any player who already subscribes to ESO Plus will get 6 Psijic Vault Crown Crates simply by logging in. These crates contain; “a host of strange and powerful items hidden from Tamriel for centuries by the monastic order. These items include fantastic beasts, mysterious collectibles and styles, and a selection of useful consumables”. Once you’ve logged in, the crates will be delivered to your account by the 20th of July.
If you don’t subscribe to ESO Plus; you can get access to most of the service’s benefits for free during the event. This includes access to all of the game’s DLC packs. The only major feature which won’t be available is the monthly stipend of 1,500 Crowns.
