Activision Launches New Western-Themed Season of Call of Duty: Mobile
As Season 3 continues over in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, Activision has now launched another new season for Call of Duty: Mobile; Once Upon a Time in Rust. Not only does this season feature the arrival of the classic ‘Rust’ map in the game, but it also features a new ‘Wild West‘ aesthetic with a whole host of new cosmetics in its Battle Pass.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season – Once Upon a Time in Rust
Amongst its new additions, Once Upon a Time in Rust adds a new weapon, a new Operator Skill, a new Battle Royale class, and lots of new cosmetics to Call of Duty: Mobile. Of course, it also coincides with the launch of the first-ever Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship, which features more than $1 million in prize money. As with all previous seasons, this new season features its own Battle Pass and Premium Pass. The season’s new weapon – a bolt-action sniper rifle called The Outlaw – unlocks at Tier 12. The new Operator Skill, Annihilator, can be unlocked at Tier 25.
When it comes to game modes and maps, the new season launches with a few key additions. Capture the Gold is a new game type based on Capture the Flag, only with pots of gold instead of flags. It launches alongside a new 1v1 Duel mode, which features its own map; Saloon. In a Duel match, the first player to score 7 kills wins a round, with victory determined by the best of three rounds. Map-wise, Rust returns to Call of Duty: Mobile this season, a map which also came to Modern Warfare three months ago.
If you prefer playing battle royale in Call of Duty: Mobile, this season introduces a new Battle Royale Class. The Poltergeist isn’t available just yet, but will be available to unlock as part of a week-long event later in the season. The class boasts an Active Camo invisibility ability, as well as a Voidwalker passive which increases your speed while invisible. As such, the class is a very stealthy ambush specialist.
