E3 2018 ended yesterday with plenty of announcements but no appearance of Batman Arkham video game developer Rocksteady Studios. Their absence from E3 took away every hope players had about arumored Superman video game developed by the same company that brought them the best Batman game series. However, the players were not the only ones disappointed by Rocksteady’s absence.
Despite the many exciting announcements that were made during E3 2018, some of the games missing brought dissatisfaction to many players who were waiting impatiently to hear them announced. Among them is Cameron Cuffe, the actor portraying Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather in Syfy’s Krypton TV Show.
Cuffe showed his disappointment on Twitter commenting:
“Every year I dare to hope that there will be a Superman game announced at E3. Once again I let bogus rumours get my hopes up, but I really feel that every year that passes brings us closer. It’ll happen”.

His post was followed by a Smallville GIF, which was perfectly related to his feelings. It was not long until some fans responded to his tweet with other Superman GIFs, sharing the same feelings as his.

Rocksteady has been teasing the development of a new video game they are working on for quite some time and have also given an explanation about their absence from E3 2018. Choosing to inform fans about their absence while at the same time referring to the fact that they have read fans’ comments and taken their feedback into consideration shows us that there might indeed be a Superman video game in their minds, if it is not the game already in development.
A game like this with such a powerful impact and with such amazingly positive feedback purely from rumors is more likely to happen than not. Let’s keep providing that same positive feedback. If we do, it becomes more likely that Rocksteady will turn it into a reality one day.
