Fans of the Battlefield franchise now have less than two months to wait before the release of Battlefield 5. As DICE prepares for their the launch, the studio has been keeping fans informed of their plans for tweaks and improvements, as well as planned features. Most recently, DICE published a list of all the Battlefield 5 vehicles which will be included in the game at launch; 24 in total, including tanks, transports, and aircraft.
All Tanks Featuring in Battlefield 5 at Launch
“In Battlefield V,” says DICE; “Legendary World War 2 vehicles are waiting for eager players to get behind the wheels or man the cockpits. You can look forward to authentic tanks, halftracks, fighters, bombers, and other vehicles from the era that will let you get around and bring terror to the fighting grounds.”
All told, Battlefield 5 will feature 9 different tanks at launch, though more will doubtless be added post-launch. Although Battlefield 5 will include a handful of weapons which appeared in Battlefield 1, as they were still in use in the Second World War, the tanks will be very different. The full list of tanks is as follows:
- Churchill Gun Carrier
- Churchill Mk VII
- Flakpanzer IV
- Panzer 38(t)
- Panzer IV
- Staghound T17E1
- Tiger I
- Valentine AA Mk I
- Valentine Mk VIII
All Transports Featuring in Battlefield 5 at Launch
Less deadly than tanks, transports are just as useful in their own roles; getting players across the battlefields with protection and speed. There will be five transports in Battlefield 5 at launch, though DICE is likely to add more as they get into their Tides of War post-launch cycle. The full list is as follows:
- Kettenkrad
- Kubelwagen
- M3 Halftrack
- Sd. Kfz 251 Halftrack
- Universal Carrier
All Aircraft Featuring in Battlefield 5 at Launch
Of all the categories of Battlefield 5 vehicles, it is aircraft which features the most. A full 10 aircraft will appear in Battlefield 5 at launch, one more than the number of tanks. Of course, this number is likely to increase post-launch. In a similar manner to tanks, these aircraft will be much more advanced than those of Battlefield 1. Interestingly, and unlike Battlefield 1, some maps in Battlefield 5 will feature airfields where aircraft can spawn; they will not only spawn from the edges of the map, already in flight. The full list of aircraft is as follows:
- Bf 109 G-2
- Bf 109 G-6
- Blenheim Mk IF
- Blenheim MkI
- Ju 87 Stuka B-1
- Ju 87 Stuka B-2
- Ju 88A
- Mosquito F Mk II
- Spitfire Mk VA
- Spitfire Mk VB
