The rumors about Amazon Italy revealing Borderlands 3’s release date have been driving fans crazy since yesterday. Apart from Borderlands 3, Amazon added some other games to its lists. However, can we rely on these leaks?
The hype for a Borderlands sequel has been growing these last few months. Since we do not have the exact date of its release, it is natural to trust whatever we see or hear. First, the CEO and Chairman of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, mentioned an upcoming big title in his recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz. Now, we have Amazon Italy adding Borderlands 3 to its lists. Therefore, one plus one equals our desired outcome, and that is no other than a Borderlands sequel next year.
Over the past weekend, Amazon Italy added four more games to its lists. The titles are Sunset Overdrive 2, Splinter Cell, Bloodborne 2 and Borderlands 3. Its new addition came with a release date and the price involved. Fans will be pleased to know that the release date right next to Borderlands 3 is December 31, 2019. Also, the game will supposedly be available in PS4 and Xbox One versions and its provisional price is 97.49 Euros (113.59 USD).
In the past, Amazon Italy has done the same thing with various titles that were unannounced and eventually released. The question is whether the leaked date is accurate or not. The previous leaks of releases like the Fortnite PS4 bundle and Splinter Cell from Amazon Italy were right on target. So, we can safely assume that this goes for Borderlands 3 too. What is it with Amazon Italy anyway?
Hopefully, this leak is the correct one and fans can get the Borderlands sequel they have been asking for next year. Let’s also hope 2K Games will make an official Borderlands 3 announcement soon.
