Excited for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales? According to a recent rumor, it could be accompanied by another PS5 exclusive at launch. Industry analyst Benji-Sales hinted at this possibility. Alas, it doesn’t sound like the mystery PS5 launch exclusive is going to be a AAA game. Let’s take a closer look at what he had to say.
We Don’t Know Much About the Mystery PS5 Launch Exclusive
Benji-Sales said, “All I can say in regards to yesterday’s comment is that just Spidey is not the only exclusive thing hitting for launch for the PS5. I can’t go anything more into that.”
Naturally, gamers immediately assumed that he was talking about a AAA PS5 exclusive launch game. This prompted him to make the following tweet to clarify matters:
The text says, “So yeah, to be clear all I said was that Miles Morales isn’t the only exclusive [game] on PlayStation 5 this Holiday. That doesn’t mean suddenly Final Fantasy XVI and CoD and God of War 2 are dropping as PlayStation 5 exclusives launch day. People read way too much into it.”
He added in another tweet, “I almost never do the whole rumor thing because I don’t consider myself any sort of top tier insider outside of sales info. Looks like something I mentioned on steam casually is blowing up. Oops. Ah well.”
He posted a couple other tweets pretty much emphasizing the same thing. Honestly, it is pretty refreshing to see someone not trying to claim they know more than they do in terms of insider knowledge. So, kudos to Benji-Sales for being transparent about the whole thing. Way too many people make up “leaks” and try to pass them off as truths to get attention. This is a pleasant contrast.
