Andre Dawson MLB The Show 20 Player Program: How to Get His Diamond Card
Baseball Hall of Fame Andre Dawson has returned for The Show. As of Tuesday, a new Andre Dawson MLB The Show 20 Player Program arrived, giving gamers a chance to earn his Diamond card. Here we present to you a look at the new item and how to get Dawson’s 88 overall card for your Diamond Dynasty team.
Andre Dawson MLB The Show 20 Diamond card revealed
For several days, The Show teased a new addition to the 3rd Inning Player Program using shots of just a player in Montreal Expos gear. Gamers made their best guesses and it was ultimately revealed to be the eight-time All-Star, four-time Silver Slugger, and former MVP.
Dawson spent the first decade of his Hall of Fame career as a member of the Montreal Expos. His new 88 Diamond card is for his rookie season when Dawson first launched his career there. Diamond Hitting and Fielding are part of the item. It also features 93 Contact Left, 80 Vision, 89 Durability, 92 Arm, 84 Fielding, 87 Speed, and 71 Stealing. Quirks include Cannon, Speedster, and Thief, for defense and/or base stealing.
How to complete Dawson’s Player Moments, Missions
The new Andre Dawson MLB The Show 20 item is part of the 3rd Inning Player Program which also features Keith Hernandez. With that, you’ll be playing through Moments that correspond to Dawson’s rookie season in Montreal.
Here’s a look at each of those along with how many MLB The Show Stubs and XP they’ll earn:
First Career Home Run – Hit 1 Home Run, vs. Braves in 1 Game (250 Stubs, 650 XP)
Dawson’s Breakout Begins – Tally 7 Hits, 2 Extra Base Hits (XBH) vs. Reds in 4 Games (500 Stubs, 2,000 XP)
4-Hit Performance – Tally 4 Total Bases vs. Cubs 1 Game (300 Stubs, 800 XP)
Dawson Drops Cubs – Tally 8 Hits, 4 Extra Base Hits vs. Cubs in 4 Games (500 Stubs, 2,000 XP)
Awesome Dawson – Tally 3 Hits, 1 Extra Base Hit vs. Padres (350 Stubs, 850 XP)
The Hawk – Tally 6 Hits, 2 Extra Base Hits vs. Cardinals in 3 Games (350 Stubs, 850 XP)
Rookie of the Year – Tally 2 Hits, Hit 1 Home Run vs. Phillies in 1 Game (350 Stubs, 850 XP)
Each of the above Moments will earn six Player Programs towards Dawson. You’ll need a total of 50 to unlock his item. There are also various Missions available to also earn Player Programs towards Dawson.
- Online: Tally Extra Base Hits With Nationals (3) +10 PP
- Online: Tally Hits With Outfielders (15) +10 PP
- Play vs. CPU: Defeat The Nationals on All-Star Difficulty or Higher (1) +8 PP
- Exchange Outfielders (30,000 Total Value) +5 PP
