Another Summer 2018 Nindies Showcase for Nintendo Switch Arrives Next Week
Yes, you read that correctly. Another Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 presentation will be released next week on August 28, 2018. Nintendo will be showing off a slew of indie titles that are coming to Nintendo Switch in the future. While Nintendo has certainly held similar videos in the past, this one arrives almost exactly a week after Nintendo UK had their own Indie Highlights video this week.
The Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 presentation will go live next week on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 9:00 am PT, 12:00 pm ET. While it’s easy to think that this could simply be the North American version of the Indie Highlights video from Nintendo UK, that simply won’t be the case for a few reasons.
For one, that video was very time-sensitive as several titles included in it released the exact same day worldwide. Another reason is that in the initial announcement tweet from Nintendo regarding the Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 presentation, it is noted that it will highlight “multiple” unannounced indie games coming to Nintendo Switch.
Presumably, the Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 presentation will feature new details on already announced Nintendo Switch indie titles. There are a couple of games that still have no release dates like Travis Strikes Again and Wargroove. We will know for sure when the presentation releases early next week.
The Nindies Showcase Summer 2018 and Indie Highlights videos aren’t the only Nintendo Direct-style presentations this month, either, as we also got a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Nintendo Direct earlier this month with a ton of new info regarding the highly anticipated sequel.
