It’s been known for a while that there will be an Anthem demo coming our way, but we’ve been kept in the dark about when that will actually happen. When the game was said to be launching this year, there was some speculation that a demo would be coming out sometime around August/September however with the game’s delay to 2019, we’ve been kept in the dark. Fortunately, it seems as though we now have a breakthrough on when we can expect to see some news about the Anthem demo.
One of the game directors for Anthem, Jonathan Werner, took to Twitter to respond to an ardent fan who wanted to know when they could expect to see anything about Anthem’s demo. According to Werner, news about Anthem’s demo will be ‘soon’ which may possibly be one of the vaguest answers ever, but it’ll at least give fans something to look forward to.
However, it isn’t all just vague answers from the BioWare team. Mike Laidlaw, Anthem’s executive producer, has gone even further by answering even more questions about the demo. One question asked Darrah whether the four exo-skeleton suits would be available in the demo or not. Darrah simply responded with ‘hopefully‘, later going on to confirm that progress made in the demo would be carried over into the main game when it debuts worldwide next year.

In other Anthem news, it has been confirmed that there will not be any player-to-player trading when the game first launches in order to keep things fair as possible. It may be introduced later on in the game, but is isn’t certain when. To find out more about Anthem, look at our round-up of news here.
Anthem will be releasing for PC, Xbox One and the PS4 on the 22nd of February, 2019. Will you be picking it up?
