With the release of a new trailer to mark the announcement, Respawn has launched a month-long special Apex Legends event; the Legendary Hunt. Running throughout June 2019, the Apex Legends Legendary Hunt event offers players a chance to earn special skins, bonus XP, and badges.
The New Apex Legends Legendary Hunt Event
Firstly, the Apex Legends Legendary Hunt event is adding a new Elite Queue to the game. This is available until the 2nd of July. If you rank in the top 5 players in a match, you can enter a special queue. Matches in this optional queue offer special character-specific badges. However, not only will you be up against some of the best players, but the Ring will also shrink faster. To make matters worse, damage for being out-of-bounds is increased.
If you already have the Wild Frontier Battle Pass and participate in the event, you’ll get the Legendary Honoured Prey R-301 skin. Get to Battle Pass level 15 during the event, and you’ll also get the Wraith Night Terror Legendary skin.
Additionally, until the 18th of June, the event will be offering special challenges. Completing these will allow you to earn extra loot. Finish in the top 5 players in any match to get the Legendary Hunt Badge. Finish in the top 5 players in any Apex Elite match, and you’ll get the Wolfpack G7 Scout Rare weapon skin. Finish in the top 5 in a queue at least 5 times (this doesn’t have to be consecutively), and you’ll earn the Epic Master of the Hunt Bloodhound Legend Skin. Finally, win two queue matches (again, this doesn’t have to be consecutive wins), and you can get the Legendary Tamed Beast Triple Take skin. Finally, during this same period, new event-limited Legendary Hunt items will be rotating through the shop. (Changing every 3-4 days.)
Apex Legends Legendary Hunt XP Bonuses
In addition to all that, the Legendary Hunt event will also include opportunities to claim bonus XP. Firstly, players can get bonus XP until June 18th; the first time you finish in the top 5 players in a match each day, you’ll get an entire full Battle Pass level. Additionally, starting today (the 7th of June), and ending on the 10th at 10:00 AM PT, Apex Legends will be holding a Double XP weekend. This affects both standard and Battle Pass XP.
