Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event Launches in Two Days
The first Collection Event of Season 5, the Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event is due to begin in two days’ time, on the 23rd of June. Like previous Collection Events, Lost Treasures will feature a range of new content and additions, including a new town takeover and 24 new event-exclusive cosmetics.
The Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event
The headline feature of the Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection event is, of course, a new limited-time mode; Armed and Dangerous Evolved. Armed and Dangerous first featured in Apex Legends as a limited-time mode during a past Arcade event. Featuring only sniper rifles and shotguns, this ‘Evolved’ variant also features only Evo Armour. In fact, every player will drop into the match with Evo Armour already equipped. Furthermore, the map will not feature any Respawn Beacons. However, this is because Respawn is debuting a new item; the Mobile Respawn Beacon.
Mobile Respawn Beacons are a new piece of equipment which players can place to set up a mini Respawn Beacon wherever they want. This Beacon can then be used just like a normal Beacon to revive a fallen squadmate. The Beacon will deploy from a satellite above and will need space to land, similar to Lifeline’s care package ability. Once it has been set down, anybody can make use of the beacon, not just the player who set it.
Of course, this is just one part of the Lost Treasures event. A new Town Takeover, for example, will add Crypto’s Map Room to the game. Plus, as normal for a Collection Event, players will also be hunting down 24 exclusive cosmetics. Like previous events, Lost Treasures will feature an exclusive event prize track. Players will be able to complete daily challenges to earn points for this track, uncloding bonus cosmetics and other rewards. In addition, Respawn are adding a new ‘Special Offers’ tab to the game menu. This tab will be available during the event and will offer a further 7 cosmetics at a price of only 500 Apex Coins each. While these are event-exclusive, they are in addition to the core 24.
