Respawn has announced that the highly-anticipated Apex Legends Season 5 gameplay trailer will be released tomorrow; in roughly 14 hours’ time at the time of writing. The trailer, which is likely to give fans their first look at Loba’s in-game abilities, may also feature details on Quests; a new feature coming to the game in Season 5.
The Apex Legends Season 5 Gameplay Trailer
The Apex Legends Season 5 gameplay trailer will debut on YouTube at 10:00 AM PDT tomorrow. Its release follows two cinematic trailers which Respawn have already released for Season 5; Loba’s Stories From the Outlands video and then the actual Season 5 Launch Trailer, which continued Loba’s story. Neither trailer featured any gameplay, so tomorrow’s video will be the first glimpse which fans have gotten of the upcoming new content.
Of course, Loba Andrade, the new Legend coming in Season 5, will be the headline feature of the gameplay trailer. While the launch trailer certainly hinted at Loba’s abilities, the gameplay trailer should showcase exactly how they work in-game. Unlike previous season gameplay trailers, this trailer won’t have a new weapon to show off, since Season 5 won’t be adding a new weapon. In place of a new gun, the season will be adding Quests; an all-new feature which Respawn has yet to offer any details for.
It’s also possible that tomorrow’s trailer could cover map changes which have yet to be shown off, as well as the upcoming Ranked Series 4. However, very little is actually changing in the new Series of Ranked Play, making it a less likely inclusion. Respawn has said that they are largely happy with the current Ranked mechanics and balance. (Although there could be some small tweaks during the course of the Series.) Respawn will be continuing with the split format introduced in Series 3, featuring a soft reset halfway through the Series.
