Apex Legends Season 5 is drawing to a close, and today, Respawn released the official trailer for Apex Legends Season 6 – Boosted. The cinematic trailer gave player a glimpse at the new content they can expect in Season 6, including the next new Legend coming to the game; Rampart.
The Apex Legends Season 6 Launch Trailer
Apex Legends Season 6 – titled “Boosted” – will be launching in-game on the 18th of August. Today’s trailer was the first glimpse that fans have gotten of the new season, and it seemingly dashed a few rumours about who the next Legend would be. The game’s next upcoming Legend is a character called Rampart. “An expert modder who made her name in underground fight clubs,” writes Respawn; “Rampart talks big and has the ballistics to back it up.”
The big new gameplay addition in Season 6, however, might prove to be even more significant than the new Legend. Apex Legends Season 6 will reportedly introduce a crafting system to the game, which will allow players to craft gear mid-match using materials gathered around the map. Respawn has yet to reveal any details about how this system will work. As such, we don’t currently know how expansive it will be. However, the studio is likely to show some details off ahead of the season launch, since it’s such a major addition.
Apex Legends Season 6 will also be bringing a new weapon to the game, after Season 5 skipped doing so. The Volt will be a new energy-based SMG and, once again, is a weapon which originally hails from the Titanfall series. Of course, the season will also feature a new Battle Pass, as well as the launch of Ranked Season 6. For now, Respawn hasn’t revealed anything more. However, the season’s launch date is less than a fortnight away. As such, fans should expect more details and trailers coming soon.
