Yesterday, Respawn released a new installment of Stories From the Outlands, giving fans a look at the backstory of Horizon, the new character coming to Apex Legends in Season 7. Now, the studio has announced that the full Season 7 Launch Trailer will be debuting tomorrow. Season 7 itself is due to launch in one week’s time, on the 4th of November.
Apex Legends Season 7 Trailer Tomorrow
“With World’s Edge on the verge of collapse,” writes Respawn; “the Apex Games need to find a new home. But what kind of welcome can the Legends expect? Tune in tomorrow at 8 AM PT to watch the Apex Season 7 Launch Trailer. There’s a whole new world on the horizon…”
Apex Legends Season 7 is currently looking to be one of the game’s largest seasonal launches yet. Season 7 will be bringing both a new Legend – Horizon – as well as the game’s third-ever map. Olympus, this all-new map, is reportedly some sort of airborne city, and the former home of Horizon. It’s currently unknown exactly what Horizon’s goals are in the Apex Games, but that’s certainly something which tomorrow’s Launch Trailer could delve into.
Alongside these two headline features, however, Season 7 looks set to include some other big changes. A new Ranked series will be launching, of course, alongside a new Battle Pass, but the Season may also be about to introduce the game’s first vehicle; the Trident. Details have yet to be revealed about the Trident, but what little has been teased appears to indicate that it will be a pilotable transport vehicle of some description. At the very least, it may be an automated transport which follows set routes around Olympus.
There won’t be any new weapons coming in Season 7, but the game will be coming to a new platform. The 4th of November will mark both the start of Season 7 and the launch of Apex Legends on Steam. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch version of the game has had its release date delayed until 2021.
