Apex Legends Season 7 – Ascension – is now just a few days’ away from release. With launch incoming, Respawn has released two new trailers showcasing the upcoming content. While one focuses on the new Legend’s abilities, the other gives players a broad look at Olympus; Apex Legends’ new third map.

“Rise to new heights in Apex Legends Season 7 – Ascension,” writes Respawn; “The Apex Games have moved to a beautiful and dangerous city in the clouds — Olympus. Explore a lush, manicured landscape on the surface and an industrial underbelly below. […] Hop aboard Olympus’ levitating Trident vehicles to cross the map fast. […] There’s a whole new world out there, Legends. Rule it or fall trying.”
Apex Legends Season 7 officially launches on the 4th of November. The release brings a new Legend – Horizon – as well as a huge new map. Players got their first brief glimpse in the recent Stories From the Outlands episode. After that, the map played a major part in the Season 7 trailer. However, this new gameplay trailer is the first time which Respawn has shown off the new map in-game. Indeed, it’s the first time that players have seen what lies below the surface of Olympus.
According to Respawn, Olympus is a particularly large map. To help players move quickly around the map, they are introducing the Trident, the game’s first-ever pilotable vehicle. The Trident has no weapons, but can transport an entire squad of players. No doubt it will become vital for players looking to escape a closing ring and get back to the action. In addition to these new additions, Season 7 will also be bringing Clubs to Apex Legends; a new way for players to create their own social groups in-game. Plus, of course, the Season will feature the usual staple of new Challenges, a new Battle Pass, cosmetics, etc.
